After our morning round we popped up the road to the oldest golf course in the world. Housed in the middle of a race track it is a wee 9 hole course which also hosts the World Hickory Open Championship. It is a cool place to visit and houses a decent golf course but the visit is more for the tradition than the golf itself. It’s a fairly straight forward routing of holes, slightly exiting the race track around the 4th hole and then working back down the opposite direction. It would be cool to see a bit more intrigue to the holes but I guess the heritage of the place speaks for itself.
It’s cheap, no more than £25 for the round and there’s plenty of stash to get your hands on in the pro shop.
