202 - Heemskerkse

Heemskerk is your typical course in the Northern part of the Netherlands and especially in and around Amsterdam. It is about a 30 minute drive and thanks to Damian for the invitation to come play because it is a day I will never forget. My favourite hole and purely for selfish reasons is the par 3, 8th, a 140 meter par 3 with not much to it apart from one lucky guy who hit an 8 iron which pitch, rolled and disappeared from plain sight only to be found in the cup.

That aside as I said it is a typical Dutch course with maybe a tad less water than some of the courses in the area. The evening we played was incredibly windy and on some holes it comes directly from the side making tee shots quite tricky. The course is very flat as well, there’s really not much in the way of elevation changes.
