41 - Royal County Down (Annesley)

Similar to Portrush we couldn’t get on the Championship course so played the Annesley. And similarly to Portrush, this one was incredibly cheap for the quality of the course at £60. This one intertwines with the Championship course which is a real treat as you get to see it close up but for many parts the quality on both was so similar we couldn’t tell which course we were on. It is quite short at Par 67 but the wind was ridiculous which made some holes a 2-3 club difference from what you’d usually hit and makes it a pretty tough course to play. If you’re down playing the main course definitely, definitely give this one a shot.
