This is a bit of an old school course down the coast from Belfast. Sadly we played here in the pouring rain so didn’t take any pictures or take in much of the impressive views from the elevated tee boxes/greens. As mentioned a lot of the tees or greens are at different levels which make club selection crucial and because it’s right on the coast there can be quite a bit of wind on most parts of the course. The fairways are generally quite wide so you’re unlike to get too lost off the tee but then it does become difficult when hitting uphill towards the green.

Think my favourite hole was the 10th, a 411 meter par 5 directly into the wind. It’s a real test of character and knowing your game on where to hit and keeping the ball low to the ground. There’s a real family feel about the club, one of our guys didn’t have any clubs and the pro in the shop very kindly lent us his so thanks to him!
