Contrary to my round at Ealing the day before, Mitcham was a much nicer experience. It is quite a short course being a 5094-meter, par 69 and this is the closest I have come to breaking 80 but came short due to light fading and rushing to finish in time.

I’m going to say it’s not the most difficult course and if you live in London it is very accessible being literally at a train stop so you can get out sporadically and it won’t beat you up. The fairways were relatively wide with many holes being able to miss left or right. The course was in decent quality, again it was in the middle of winter, so I don’t want to be too harsh but the ground was pretty hard, didn’t lose any balls to them being plugged and unable to find.

There is a bit of a strange set up in terms of the ‘driving range’ being a spot where you can hit balls back down the 2nd hole but there is a net to practice in.

Would recommend playing here if you’re looking for an accessible, fun, course in London and stop for a pint after!
